2nd-In-Command also stylized as Second-In-Command or Commander-in-chief is the officer next in authority to the commanding or chief officer. The 2nd-In-Command supports the leader in achieving the organization's goals. This includes providing strategic input, managing daily operations and overseeing key projects. The 2nd-In-Command also has authority to give orders when the leader is not there.
