The 501st Troopers are the soldiers that serve in the elite 501st Legion, which is commanded by Anakin Skywalker and later when he turns into Darth Vader. 501st Troopers fight the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars and later fight the New Confederacy of Independent Systems a few times during The Last of the Droids era, upholding the ideals of the Galactic Empire.
Characteristics[]
Other than the new armor and weapons that they carry, the 501st Troopers are no different from the normal Clone troopers that served in the Republic. The 501st army is used to fight off other rebellions and keep Imperial rule through the galaxy. Many of the members of the 501st are clones, although later humans from the Imperial academy are brought in to serve as well. Like Stormtroopers, they cannot be swayed with bribery and are completely loyal to the Empire.

The Clone Wars[]
Fighting onboard the Malevolence II[]
Many 501st Troopers of the 501st Legion boarded the heroic Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence II with malicious Jedi Anakin Skywalker to attack/kill the heroic General Grievous and aid the villainous 212th Attack Battalion with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Grievous, Super's Battle, STAP Battle and many battle droids including B1 battle droids, B2 super battle droids, BX-series droid commandos, droidekas, new B2 Flamethrower super battle droids and even Super Battle Droid Rocket Troopers defended the heroic ship as they killed several clones of the 501st Legion. After the mission failed, they pulled back in the Space gunships and retreated back to their Venator-class Star Destroyers.
