The AAT driver battle droid also known as the OOM AAT driver battle droid, AAT Driver Droid, jungle battle droid, and Kashyyyk Battle Droid is a B1 battle droid used for driving the Armored Assault Tanks during the Clone Wars era. They are painted dark green and they also carry E-5 Blaster rifles with them just in case of getting out of the tank. These Drivers later on make a comeback for the New Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Last of the Droids era, helping Trench & Grievous destroy the evil Galactic Empire.

As part of the OOM-series battle droids, AAT Driver Battle Droids usually manned Armored Assault Tanks but sometimes they lead a small squad of B1 battle droids to battle. As the Commander of the Tank, AAT Drivers fired the heavy laser cannon and some AAT Driver Battle Droids control the front hatch of the tank. AAT Drivers have dark green on their body, legs, and back of their heads. This is marked to let other Battle droids know that they are Drivers of the AAT. Their green colors, which allow them to blend into jungles, are very similar to the Droid Marine but the Droid Marine's color is light green instead of dark.

When Trench went to talk to the Fresian King, he told him about the OOM-series battle droids. When he was talking about this Battle Droid, he told him that they are programed to drive the Armored Assault Tank and they have green marks. Later, AAT Driver Battle Droids were created and saw in action during the Battle of Lothal. The OOM AAT Driver Battle Droids fought and controlled Armored Assault Tanks and some commanded Multi-Troop Transports.

Many of these droids participated in the hunt for Darth Vader on Vrogas Vas, where they rode AATs to help OOM-85.
