AD-W4, also referred to as Ay-Dee, is a mercenary droid that the evil Count Dooku hired to kill Grievous Hero. AD-W4 knows about the Legends Grievous and is friends with the droid.
History[]
AD-W4 was a mercenary droid during the Clone Wars era. He was hired by Count Dooku for some other missions for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Around this time, the evil Legends Grievous was created and AD-W4 met him. The two got along as they talked about ending Grievous Hero.
After the Battle of Kessel, Dooku was ready to kill Grievous since he disobeyed an order from him and Dooku sent AD-W4 to handle the heroic cyborg General of the CIS Armed Forces. AD-W4 left and took a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle to attack Grievous.
Once in Confederate space where Grievous's Armada was located at, AD-W4 moved his Sheathipede and crashed into Grievous's Recusant-class light destroyer's hangar and attacked the OOM security battle droids guarding it. Grievous and BX-series droid commandos stepped into the fray of the battle, and AD-W4 dueled the hero, taunting him saying he's been replaced by a new "Grievous". Grievous continued to duel the sinister mercenary droid but the evil droid fired a massive laser cannon at Grievous and thought he killed him but Grievous surprised the villain and attacked him with full force which sent AD-W4 in a retreat. Grievous cut his arm off and the droid ran into one of the parked Sheathipede-class shuttles and took off only for Grievous in his Soulless One starfighter and his famous heroic Vulture Droid squadron, The Grievous Legion, to chase after the villain. However, the mercenary droid managed to escape the hero's wrath and went back to Dooku.
