The Battle Droid Assassin is a variation of the B1 battle droid used by the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems over the course of the the Clone Wars. They later on make a comeback for the New Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Last of the Droids fighting the evil Galactic Empire. They are interchangeable with the Sniper Droideka or BX-series droid commandos with sniper rifles.

Battle Droid Assassins are B-series battle droids produced by Baktoid Armor Workshop. They stand 1.91 meters tall and featured tan plating and black sensors on their cranial units. The droids are equipped with a Baktoid Armor E-5s sniper rifle as well as a standard blaster pistol, V-1 thermal detonators, and a Mark IV recon droid. Certain models are equipped with an autoturret.

Battle Droid Assassins were first used by the New Confederacy of Independent Systems at the 2nd Battle of Muunilinst when a B1 Battle Droid hero told the New Separatist Droid Army to unleash the Assassin Droids and the droids sniped the evil Stormtroopers that were advancing on Harnaidan.
