The Blockade of Coruscant, also known as the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet was a Blockade over Coruscant protected by Galactic Republic warships. After the Clone Wars, the blockade was replaced by the Imperial Blockade of Coruscant.

History

Attack on Coruscant

After the capture of Grievous, the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet only consisted of 50 Venator-class Star Destroyers (including Anakin Skywalker's Flagship the Corrupter, Obi-Wan Kenobi's flagship & Mace Windu's flagship), 40 Acclamator-class assault cruisers and 30 Arquitens-class light cruisers.

When the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems arrived to rescue the righteous Grievous, the evil Coruscant Home Defense Fleet led by Admiral Yularen engaged the massive Sector 11 Fleet of the Confederate Navy. Launching thousands of Republic Fighters to combat the thousands of Droid Fighters, the Blockade of Coruscant tried to take the heroes out even with the help of malicious Jedi in their Eta-2 Actis-class interceptors.
