Clu Lesser or known by Battle droids, Commander Lesser is a minor hero in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and one of the major heroes in Star Wars: The Last of the Droids. He is a Muun male banker who lived during the years prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire. Clu Lesser is the leader of the Core Five and the InterGalactic Banking Clan when it is based on Scipio.

Clu Lesser is really loyal to the InterGalactic Banking Clan and their cause to build more ships for the war against the Galactic Empire. When he joined the New Confederacy of Independent Systems, he hated the Galactic Empire after he realized Palpatine destroyed the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He's a little commanding and still arrogant as any other Muun banker. As the leader of the New Confederacy and the Banking Clan, he provides Munificent-class star frigates, Hardcell-class interstellar transports, IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tanks, and IG-100 MangaGuards for the New Separatist Droid Army and the New Confederate Navy. He also gets along well with Admiral Trench since he saved him from the Empire before he joined. Clu also gets along well with Gume Saam and Lushros Dofine.
History
Imperial Invasion
When the Galactic Empire shut down all of the Battle Droids, the Core Five didn't know what to do. Then 7 Imperial-I class Star Destroyers, 3 Sentinel-class landing crafts, and TIE Hunters attacked Scipio. Clu thought this was the Galactic Republic until he saw new ships and fighters shooting down at the headquarters. Then Imperial Admiral Kassius Konstantine came down from a Star Destroyer the Relentless, and went inside with 162 Stormtroopers. Clu asked Kassius what he neeeded or wanted and Kassius said everything of the InterGalactic Banking Clan was now property of the Galactic Empire. Lesser disagreed and told the Empire to leave. Kassius told Clu about the end of the Clone Wars and the Confederacy and told him the Republic turned into this Empire so they could just rule the galaxy. Clu really disliked this and said that the IGBC wasn't joining the Galactic Empire. Kassius and the Troopers then tried to kill Clu.
Escaping and Rescue from Trench
Clu escaped the Stormtroopers and Kassius Konstantine. The Stormtroopers searched for him until Imperial-I class Star Destroyers started to crash down. Trench, his Providence-class carrier/destroyer, and several Vulture-class droid starfighters and Hyena-class bombers came and bombarded the Galactic Empire. CIS Landing Crafts were forced to land and B1 Battle Droids, B2 Super Battle Droids, and Droidekas fought the Galactic Empire. Trench arrived and Clu was happy to see a Separatists. Kassius and his troops were forced to retreat and Trench explained the New Confederacy of Independent Systems to Clu. Clu said he was going to see how it went and might provide the New Confederacy with ships and tanks.
