The vulture droid missile later nicknamed and complimented by the Jedi for its combat skills, the discord missile is a missile used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars era. They make a comeback for the New Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Last of the Droids era, helping Grievous & Trench fight the war between the Galactic Empire.

Launched by Vulture-class droid fighters, Droid Tri-Fighters, and Droid Gunships, each missile contains up to 7 Buzz Droids, which it can release near starfighters. It can outmaneuver and outrun most starfighters and capital ship point-defenses. In some cases, discord missiles don't carry Buzz Droids. Instead, they can be regular missiles.

Origins[]
Originally, discord missiles were stored on Vulture Droids and were regular missiles as seen during the Battle of Christophsis and the ambush of Anakin Skywalker. These were effective as they destroyed many evil Republic Fighters. 550 of these can be stored on Providence-class carrier/destroyers. When the Droid Tri-Fighter was created, they used several discord missiles as well.
Upgrades to carry Buzz Droids[]
Later, discord buzz droid missiles were only stored on Droid Tri-Fighters as they launched deadly Buzz Droids. However, the CIS retrofitted a number of Vulture Droids to carry them as well. HMP Droid Gunships were also retrofitted with vulture droid missiles during 20 BBY. Also in 20 BBY, The Grievous Legion was retrofitted with discord buzz droid missiles as seen during the Battle of Kashyyyk.
