Droid

Droids are mechanical creatures given artificial intelligence and programming to help their masters. They are used in a variety of roles and environments, often those considered too menial or too dangerous for other species, but also in fields that required extensive specialization and knowledge. Several factions throughout Galactic History have used droids, the most notable being the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems, as they used a large army of Battle droids during the Clone Wars.
