Gideon or Moff Gideon is a minor villain in CROSS GRIEVOUS and a main villain in Season 5 of the Star Wars: The Last of the Droids. He is an Imperial Officer with the rank of Moff during the Imperial Era. He serves as an officer in the Imperial Security Bureau, a law enforcement and intelligence agency of the Galactic Empire. Gideon previously served as an officer in the Galactic Republic. By a few years after the Clone Wars, Gideon had acquired the Darksaber, and well as the rank of Moff. Eventually, Gideon was tasked with hunting down General Grievous after Admiral Thrawn failed to put an end to the heroic Kaleesh cyborg.
Moff Gideon commands a Class 546 Cruiser as his flagship, and flies an Outland TIE fighter as his personal starfighter.
Personality[]
A clever and formidable member of the Galactic Empire, Gideon values knowledge and power. He is imposing and ruthless, willing to kill fellow Imperials to achieve his goals, as shown when he killed an officer only for interrupting him. Gideon is a patriot of the Republic/Empire who considers his cause just. He is also an adept tactician and skilled at both psychological warfare and personal combat. He is willing to use knowledge and fear to reveal information that would have infuriated his enemies just to taunt and destabilize them.
Appearance[]
Gideon is a human male. He has dark eyes, skin, and black hair that is greying by the time of the Imperial Era.
As an Imperial officer of high rank, Gideon wears an outfit similar to an Imperial uniform with dark-colored battle armor and a cape. He wields a blaster pistol and flies an Outland TIE fighter, and is also in possession of the Darksaber.
History[]
The Clone Wars[]
During the Clone Wars, Gideon served as an officer in the Galactic Republic's intelligence, helping to undermine the activities of the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems. He flew his own Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor at this time.
The Last of the Droids[]
When the Galactic Empire was formed, Gideon became an officer in the Imperial Security Bureau, eventually obtaining the rank of Moff. Between 19 and 18 BBY, he acquired the Darksaber, the legendary weapon and significant symbol of House Vizsla. Gideon, being tasked with leading his forces to destroy Darth Maul and the last Mandalorian super commandos of the Shadow Collective, had fought the rogue Sith in one-on-one combat during the battle and won, thus winning ownership of the Darksaber. Ultimately, Gideon's forces proved victorious in the end, defeating Maul's super commandos.

Gideon smiles to himself, shortly after receiving new orders to track down and kill Grievous.
At some point into The Last of the Droids era, Gideon's comms officer was contacted aboard Gideon's light cruiser by Emperor Sheev Palpatine, who said they had new order to track down General Grievous of the New CIS. Previously, that was Admiral Thrawn's job, but after the latter failed to destroy the General, Gideon was given the task due to his fearsome reputation within the Imperial ranks and his previous encouters with the heroic Kaleesh during the Clone Wars. Shortly afterward, Gideon was told by the comms officer of their new orders from Coruscant. Gideon smiled to himself and continued to supervise the work of his scientists on Phase III Dark Trooper droids.
