Padme Amidala was the senator of Naboo. Many in the Trade Federation hated her for the humiliation she had caused for them at the Invasion of Naboo. She also caused the heroic General Grievous trouble numerous times. The first was on the Malevolence and the second was on Naboo. She was also Anakin Skywalker's secret wife.
