Supreme Commander of the Droid Armies, also called the Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies and shortened to Separatist Supreme Commander and later New Separatist Supreme Commander, is the title held by the heroic General Grievous during the Clone Wars as the absolute leader of the CIS Armed Forces—the Separatist Droid Army and the Confederacy of Independent Systems Navy. It was one of the highest ranks in the CIS next to the Head of State. Grievous's heroic rank controlled all CIS military officers, as they would report directly to the heroic Grievous if he ever stepped in the battle, as they would listen to his orders and all CIS forces on a planet would follow the heroic Kaleesh. This included Asajj Ventress as she addressed the heroic General as "General" or "Lord" despite her being "Supreme Leader" of the Droid Army, which really meant nothing. It is later used by OOM-85 in The Last of the Droids when Grievous becomes Head of State.
