The V-19 Torrent Starfighter or the V-19 Torrent or commonly known as the V-19 is a Republic Fighter used by the sinister Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars era and later used by the Galactic Empire, but very rarely.
Characteristics[]
The V-19 is unique in that it has two pairs of folding airfoils (S-foils) that gave the ship added maneuverability and provided Clone trooper pilots with easy access to the cockpit's sliding canopy. The lower, hinged S-foils coupled with enhanced repulsorlift engines make the V-19 an exceptional vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fighter. Its armament consists of two laser cannons (one on each wingtip) and two concussion missile launchers. The number of concussion missiles carries by the V-19 is at least six. V-19s also don't have a hyperdrive similar to the later V-Wing Starfighter & TIE series.

The Clone Wars[]
After the Clone Wars began, the V-19 Torrent Starfighter was the main Republic Fighter of evil during the beginning of the war.
Assault on Mustafar[]
Late Clone Wars[]
During 20 BBY, the V-19 was replaced by the new ARC-170 Starfighters, Z-95 Headhunters and even V-Wing Starfighters. However, the V-19s still saw action during late battles of the Clone Wars.
Battle of Kashyyyk[]
Several V-19s were hidden behind the evil Venator-class Star Destroyer Corrupter's Bridge during the Battle of Kashyyyk. The V-19s engaged the reckless heroic Vulture Droid Speedy Vulture, but the fastest member of The Grievous Legion was able to destroy them with his Discord missiles which deployed Buzz Droids which killed all of the Clone trooper pilots and their V-19s and allowed The Grievous Legion to destroy the evil Venator's Bridge, sending it crashing to Kashyyyk prompting the heroic General Grievous to follow the evil ship.
Escorting a captured Grievous[]
4 V-19s escorted the evil Mace Windu's Nu-class attack/transport shuttle carrying a captured hero Grievous to Coruscant.
Chasing Grievous's Crew[]
4 V-19s helped evil Jedi Anakin Skywalker in his Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor chase down Grievous's Crew in a stolen LAAT/i gunship. One of the V-19s was destroyed when Barriss Offee fired the air rockets of the gunship. However, the ARC-170 Starfighters, BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighters and V-19s managed to take out the stolen gunship and went on patrol as Anakin went to engage Grievous & his Crew, himself.
