Wat Tambor was a male Skakoan from the planet of Skako, the Foreman of the Techno Union during the Clone Wars. He was also Emir of Skako, and Executive of Baktoid Armor Workshop, the suppliers of weapons to the Trade Federation. He was killed in 19 BBY by Darth Vader.
Personality[]
Although he gave a lot of resources to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, Wat Tambor didn't really care that much for the other allies of the Confederacy. He, like Nute Gunray, didn't like the heroic General Grievous that much, although he was a lot more quiet about his dislike of the Kaleesh general though he praised his heroics. Despite this, he has remained on the Separatists' side due to his cunning and reputation as a strategist, which landed him on the Council in the first place. He also had a desire to rule others as seen during the Battle of Ryloth. Tambor was also greedy.
While he was renowned as a master strategist, Tambor was captured and taken into evil Republic custody several times. Despite his bulky pressure-suit, he's also a skilled combatant, able to hold his own against certain assailants. He understands the value of security, and is usually surrounded with bodyguards, although, should they fail, he can always rely on hidden weapons built into his suit.
History[]
Geonosis[]
On Geonosis Tambor, alongside the leaders of Trade Federation and InterGalactic Banking Clan, pledged the support and loyalty of the Techno Union to the heroic CIS. However, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala went to rescue the sinister Kenobi but they were captured by the heroic Poggle the Lesser and were all to be executed. However, Mace Windu and a bunch of villainous Jedi tried to stop the heroic Separatist movement but almost lost. Though the leader of the evil cult, Yoda, rescued them with the help of the Grand Army of the Republic. This evil action of the Jedi and the manipulation of Palpatine caused a war to erupt called the Clone Wars. At some point after he joined the CIS, Tambor flew his Belbullab-22 heavy starfighter near an orange astronomical object.

Ryloth[]
Tambor then took the title of Emir when the CIS and his Techno Union forces occupied the planet of Ryloth. Tambor, after tracking the movements of Argente, learned that Argente met with Twi'lek broker Artruk, whom Argente had hired to conceal treasures of Ryloth in his possession. Upon noticing the treasures, Tambor ordered his personal T-series tactical droid, TA-175, to move Ryloth to the highest priority for a CIS invasion. Tambor soon invaded Ryloth, starving and subjugating the Twi'lek population with a iron fist. The Skakoan blockaded Ryloth, placing heroic Captain Mar Tuuk in charge of the CIS blockade (Who didn't know Tambor's enslavement), while Tambor made headquarters for himself in Ryloth's capital city, Lessu. Tambor also placed tactical droid TX-20 in charge of the CIS proton cannons stationed in the city of Nabat.
However, the evil Republic soon launched a plan to invade and liberate the planet. After villainous Jedi General Skywalker and his apprentice, Commander Tano, eliminated the CIS blockade around Ryloth, Jedi Generals Windu and Kenobi were able to move in with their transports. Kenobi Villain and his clone troopers eliminated the cannons and the hostages destroyed TX-20, and the Republic invasion forces were able to land. Tambor was not amused with Tuuk's and TX-20's respective failures, as he would be forced to take the blame for their faults.
Tambor used Recon droids to spy on rbil Gen. Windu's forces and their progress. Though TA-175 wanted to start to retreat and evacuate, Tambor refused, saying that Windu did not have the troops to take Lessu. Tambor brought in his forces and secured the city's bridge. In a holographic conference with Tambor, Count Dooku, displeased with the Emir's weakening hold on Ryloth, ordered him to salvage what he could of the Twi'lek treasures on the planet and retreat before Windu arrived with his forces in Lessu. Dooku also ordered Tambor to destroy whatever he could of Ryloth, as it's ruins would show the galaxy the "cost" of a Republic victory. To accomplish this, Tambor dispatched a squad of Hyena-class bombers—and, at TA-175's recommendation, the CIS ground forces—to begin destroying several Twi'lek villages in the area.
However, Windu soon enlisted the help of the Twi'lek resistance leader Cham Syndulla and Ryloth's resistance against the Tambor oppression. Tambor decided to wait for the last of several Multi-Troop Transports hauling the treasures, despite Dooku's order to retreat and bomb Lessu. TA-175, too impatient to wait for his master, departed aboard Tambor's shuttle, and the Skakoan was left stranded just as the Republic forces arrived in the city. The evil Windu cornered Tambor; however, Dooku was intent on eliminating Lessu, even with Tambor's life in jeopardy. The CIS Head of State ordered TA-175 to continue with the bombers' attack, but the intervention of Skywalker and Tano in their fighters prevented the destruction of Lessu. Tambor surrendered and was taken into Republic custody.
Escaping the military base[]
Tambor was then taken to the Republic military base on Coruscant and in 20 BBY, he was kept under close watch alongside fellow CIS leaders and officers. Tambor eventually escaped from Republic captivity and continued to work with the heroic Confederacy of Independent Systems.
