The Taim & Bak XX-10 turbolaser tower shortened to the XX-10 or known by the battle droids as turbolaser tower is a planetary surface variant of XX-9 heavy turbolaser designed to be used against land vehicles. It requires an enormous amount of power, supplied by the standard base power generators. They are primarily used by the Galactic Republic & Galactic Empire.

The XX-10 has a very slow rate of fire, causing it to become overwhelmed very quickly. Because its firepower is focused mostly on land vehicles, it can be destroyed by squads of infantry. Also, the guns are highly inaccurate against small, quick moving targets that infantry soldiers usually display themselves as. The major down side to having XX-10 turbolaser towers is it makes examples to worlds that are heavily defended from vehicle attacks, only to be assaulted by massive armies of only infantry.

The Clone Wars[]
During the Clone Wars, XX-10 turbolaser towers were painted with red stripes.
The Last of the Droids[]
XX-10 turbolaser towers were built by the Galactic Empire after they subjugated Lothal. When the New Confederacy of Independent Systems went to free it, the XX-10s destroyed several droids and OOM-85's Army needed help. Trench sent Hyena Bombers to bomb the turbolaser towers and they did. When they went the capital of Lothal, Victor Strang and Commander Cutter had 2 XX-10s guarding their Scout Troopers. The Battle Droids attacked the XX-10s with their Multi-Troop Transport. The turbolaser towers damaged the MTT but the STAPs destroyed the XX-10s. After the heroes freed Lothal, all XX-10 turbolaser tower emplacements were taken down.
